Vendor Admistrator
BUI is seeking a highly motivated Vendor Administrator with a passion for technology and process. In this role you will be tasked to work with the customers, the sales team and back office managing and developing the vendor administrative processes as well as assisting the Vendor Program manager with day-to-day administrator tasks.
We are currently hiring a Vendor Administrator based in Durban, Cape Town or Johannesburg.
The Vendor Administrator role acts as the connecting piece between the Sales Team, back office and delivery. This will include tasks like updating various Microsoft tools, such as Partner Center, MSSP Portal as well as Hubspot. . They also perform administrative duties for the various programs and funding as well as reporting.
This is an administrative position, reporting to the Sales Manager/Vendor Manager. It’s a fast-paced position that requires the ability for attention to detail, computer literate (Excel skills are mandatory) and to multitask.

Vendor Administrator Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain an Accurate Database of Customer and Prospect Information
Vendor Administrators have to be tech-savvy, as one of their duties is to develop and maintain a database that contains all of the important information for both current and prospective customers. Maintaining the accuracy of this database is crucial for an efficient delivery process.
Process Paperwork
The Salesperson will complete the Sale of the program and the Vendor Administrator will have to process the program via specific tools. The Vendor Administrator will be responsible for preparing paperwork that will need to be submitted for customer signatory via the electronic signing tool.
Communicate with Customers
The role of Vendor Administrator involves some customer service. If a customer has queries with regards to the program, the Vendor administrator will need to provide feedback to the customer in a timely manner.
Prepare and Present Reports
Vendor Administrators are the ones in the office who work hand in hand with the Sales team, it is their responsibility to report on specific Vendor programs and report on Milestones and achievements.
Requirements
- Work closely with Vendors to understand and land programs
- Understand and position Vendor programs to assist the Sales Team with driving Usage/Consumption growth
- Build and maintain relationships within an assigned account base of existing customers
- A successful candidate should also be able to deliver reporting to track progress of the various programs
- Strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as a team member
- Must respond to rapid change, perform duties with accuracy and with a strong degree of urgency
- Prioritize and perform work with minimal supervision
- Able to handle large quantities of information while maintaining a high level of accuracy
